Shovelling, digging, pouring, sifting, building sandcastles - playing with sand is fun for all children and helps to develop their creativity. The Plum sandpit has an adjustable sun shade to provide important protection from the sun's harmful UV rays. This allows children to play in the sand longer and more safely.
The Plum Sandpit with sun canopy creates a shady and comfortable play area. The special feature of the adjustable canopy with its classic blue and white stripes is that it can also be tilted. This means that no matter where the sun is, the little ones are protected and can play in the shade. The canopy also provides protection in the event of a sudden downpour. The height and angle of the canopy can be adjusted using a rotary knob. When no one is playing in the sandpit, you can set the height of the canopy to the lowest position and convert the canopy into a protection cover. This protects the sand from the weather and animals.
When the little ones need a break from digging and playing, the sandpit has two cosy built-in benches with backrests. It's also a great place to build sandcastles.
The Plum sandbox is made from durable wood. The wood is sourced from responsibly managed forests. The wood is impregnated and weather resistant.

The sandpit with sunshade looks great in any garden. To keep weeds and insects out of the sandpit, a sandbox floor fleece is included.

Maintenance and care:
Depending on weather conditions, treated wood should be treated at least once a year with a wood preservative suitable for children's toys. Check the screws regularly and retighten if necessary. We recommend that you store the product in a dry place if it is not going to be used for a long period of time (especially in winter). This will prolong the life of your Plum product.
Material information:
Plum outdoor products are made from high quality, sustainable wood. Wood is a natural material that can show variations in colour, grain and knotholes. This is not a quality defect. Changes in shape and drying cracks/openings (joints, cracks) may occur, particularly in the longitudinal direction and after prolonged periods of heat/humidity. The products must not be permanently exposed to the sun and/or moisture. The wood must always be dried well and immediately to avoid waterlogging, swelling and mould stains.
